But again the problem is that we are not aware of it. So, we bring you a list of scholarships that might help your child’s dream come true. These are some of the scholarships which aspirants can apply in or during their BSc. or MSc. Courses.
Objective: Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research (INSPIRE) is a programme offered by the Ministry of Science & Technology to candidates who want to pursue bachelors as well as masters (level) education in natural or basic sciences. INSPIRE has three components:
- Scheme for Early Attraction of Talent (SEATS)
- Scholarship for Higher Education (SHE)
- Assured Opportunity for Research Careers (AORC)
Scholarship Amount: Rs 80,000 annually
Eligibility: Candidates are eligible if they:
- Are a part of the top 1% students in their Class 12 board exams and are studying Natural and Basic Sciences at BSc level or Integrated MSc level.
- Among top 10,000 rank holders in JEE or NEET and have also opted to study Natural and Basic sciences in any institute or university leading to BSc and MSc degrees.
- Have studied at any of the below mentioned colleges and have opted to study Natural and Basic sciences at the BSc or MSc level are eligible for SHE Scholarship.

2.HDFC Educational Crisis Scholarship Support (ECSS)
Objective: To provide support to students whose families are facing personal/economic crisis such that they can pursue their education without any hurdles.
Scholarship Amount: Rs 10,000 to Rs 25,000 per annum
Eligibility: Aspirants who are pursuing a Diploma, Graduation Degree or Post graduation degree and whose annual family income is equal to or less that Rs 3,00,000 are eligible to apply for this scholarship.

3.Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY)
Objective: Department of Science and Technology, Government of India offers this scholarship to encourage students to pursue a career in Science research.
Scholarship Amount: Rs 5000 per month or Rs 20,000 annual contingency grant for 3 to 5 years to UG level candidates. Postgraduate aspirants are offered scholarship worth Rs 7000 per month or Rs 28,000 annual contingency grant.
Eligibility: Class 11 & 12 students of Science stream with a score of at least 75% marks in Class 10 board exam; 1st year students of B.Sc./B.S./B.Math./B.Stat./Int. M.Sc./M.S. with a score of at least 60% marks in class 12 board exam. Selection is made on the basis of an aptitude test conducted by IISc, Bangalore. For the renewal of scholarship every year, it is mandatory to maintain a good academic record – scoring minimum of 60% each year.

4.Indira Gandhi Scholarship for Single Girl Child
Objective: This scholarship offered by UGC helps families to pay for post-graduation level education of their girl child.
Scholarship Amount: Rs 2000 per month for maximum two years
Eligibility: Any girl who is the only girl/twin daughter/fraternal daughter of a family and has secured admission in full-time (regular) Masters degree programme from a recognised university/college is eligible to apply for this scholarship. Age limit for this scholarship is 30 years.

5.Post-Graduate Merit Scholarship for University Rank Holders
Objective: This scholarship is to promote higher education in India. Candidates who secure this scholarship can pursue their post-graduation studies in any specialisation from any institutes in India.
Scholarship Amount: Rs 3,100 per month for 2 years.
Eligibility: Rank holders of each university at UG level are eligible to apply for this scholarship.

6.Women Scientist Scheme (WOS-A)
Objective: Department of Science and Technology offers this scholarship to encourage women scientists as well as technologists to pursue research in basic/applied sciences.
Scholarship Amount: As part of this scheme, aspirants are awarded a research grant such that for PhD holders or equivalent candidates the maximum amount granted is Rs 30 lakh and for MSc or equivalent the maximum grant amount is Rs 20 lakh. The amount is awarded for a maximum duration of three years.
Eligibility: Women candidates who are pursuing MSc or PhD are eligible to apply for this scheme. The official website informs that the minimum age limit under WOS-A is 27 years and maximum age for MSc or equivalent category is 35 years and for PhD and equivalent category is 57 years.

7.Dr K S Krishnan Research Associateship (KSKRA)
Objective: Aspirants who are selected for this programme are provided with an opportunity to work on R&D programmes at the below mentioned institutes:
- Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), Mumbai.
- Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research (IGCAR), Kalpakkam.
- Raja Ramanna Centre for Advanced Technology (RRCAT), Indore.
- Variable Energy Cyclotron Centre (VECC), Kolkata.

Scholarship Amount: Rs 26,000 per month as stipend. Duration of this scholarship is two years.

8.ACSIR Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Summer Training Programme
Objective: Here candidates are provided with an opportunity to work at premier research Laboratories of CSIR during the summer months (May to August).
Scholarship Amount: Candidates are awarded Rs 25,000 for the programme duration. Selected students are also given travel allowance such that it does not exceed Rs 5,000. The amount is paid to aspirants after they complete their training programme and submit their project report to Lab Coordinator.
Eligibility: Candidates are eligible to apply for this summer training programme if they are in their:
- First year of MSc programme or equivalent wherein in they have secure minimum first-class at pre-MSc degree level.
- Third to pre-final year of Integrated MSc programme or equivalent in which they have a GPA score of 6.0 on a scale of 10 (upto IV Semester).
- First year of ME/MTech programme or equivalent in which they have a GPA score of 8.0 on a scale of 10 OR GPA 7.0 on a scale of 10 for CFTIs at BE/BTech level or GATE Score 600 or NET (Engineering) Rank from 1 to 100.

9.IAS Bangalore notifies Summer Research Fellowship
Objective: As part of this fellowship, aspirants can work with scientists associated with Indian National Science Academy, New Delhi, Indian Academy of Sciences, Bengaluru and The National Academy of Sciences, Allahabad.

Objective : Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research (IGCAR), Kalpakkam offers Junior Research Fellowship to candidates who want to do research work in areas such as physical, chemical as well as engineering sciences.

18. Promotion of Science Education (POSE) Scholarship Scheme 2018-19
Objective:This B.Sc. Scholarship is for the students who have passed their class 12th in Science or completed their graduation in Science. It’s a merit-based scholarship that encourages students towards science education. This scholarship is offered by Haryana State Council for Science & Technology.

Eligibility :This scholarship for B.Sc. students need you to satisfy the following eligibility criteria:
1. Students must have taken admission to following courses in the year 2018:
3-year BSc/4-year BS or 5-year integrated MSc/MS program in basic and natural sciences at IIT, IISc, IISER, NISER, DAE-CBS or in any college/university in India.
2-year MSc program in basic and natural science.
2. For admission to UG degree, students must have passed class 10th and 12th from a school situated in Haryana with minimum 85% marks for Haryana Board School and 90% marks for other boards like CBSE/ICSE etc. in class 12th.

19. Dhirubhai Ambani Scholarship Programme 2018
Objective:It’s a scholarship programme for the students who want to pursue the graduation degree in engineering, medical, science, law, pharmacy business management and other social sciences. This scholarship provides financial assistance to the needy and deserving students.
Scholarship Amount: Students will get a minimum amount of Rs. 36,000/- and the maximum amount of Rs. 40,000/- per year throughout the course.
Eligibility :Students who have passed their Class 12th exam and are declared in the merit list of their state board or CBSE board are eligible for this B.Sc. Scholarship 2018.
20. Foundation for Academic Excellence and Access (FAEA) Scholarship
Objective: This scholarship provides help to the socially and economically poor students in completing their undergraduate study in Arts/Commerce/Science/Medical/Engineering and all the other fields.
Scholarship Amount:This scholarship will provide financial aid for completion of undergraduate courses which includes tuition fee, maintenance allowance or hostel/mess charges and other allowances to cover travel, clothing and book purchase as per the norms.

21. Santoor Women’s Scholarship 2018
Objective: This Scholarship is offered by Wipro Consumer Care. This B.Sc. Scholarship financially helps the poor girls who wish to pursue higher education after their 12th Class. Every year it supports around 900 students across the states of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Telangana.
Scholarship Amount: Students will get Rs. 24,000/- per year till they complete their graduation course.

Objective: This B.Sc. Scholarship is for the students who are studying in Class 9th to 12th, graduation and post-graduation. The main aim of this scholarship is to help the poor and needy students to continue their higher education.
